One million to attend 2021 World Hunting Exhibition

Hosting the event is a matter of national pride and will include events on hunting, fishing, wine and cuisine.

The 2021 World Hunting Exhibition will take place next fall in Budapest and four countryside locations and will include a total of 660 events.

At the opening of the Jagd und Hund 2020 exhibition in Dortmund, Zoltán Kovács, the government commissioner responsible for the hunting exhibition, told MTI that international partners, governments and professional partners were invited to attend what will be the largest international hunting exhibition in Europe.

Kovács opened the Hungarian stand at the Dortmund fair on Tuesday, according to MTI. The Dortmund Expo features 800 exhibitors from nearly 41 countries, and more than 80,000 visitors are expected to attend the six-day event between January 28 and February 2.

Kovács plans on getting hundreds of international organizations and actors to attend and promote the 2021 World Expo in Hungary, and thus, along with his team, will be attending all major events and fairs that deal with hunting, nature and fishing in the next year to promote it.

The focus of the 2021 World Hunting Exhibition will be to raise awareness of the importance of nature conservation and to promote the sustainable use of nature. Hunting and hunters, fishing and fishermen are part of a country’s cultural heritage, and hosting the 50th anniversary of the World Hunting Exhibition next fall will be a proud moment for Hungary, which will be at the center of international attention.

Some HUF 6-7 billion has been spent so far on organizing the three-week expo, which will include numerous exhibitions, conferences and world-class events as well as some special attention paid to gastronomy and wine.
